About.

Studio mnv is an architecture and design practice based in Yucatán, Mexico, founded by architect Miriam. The studio works across residential, commercial, and cultural projects, with a focus on creating contemporary spaces that are deeply connected to their context.

Rooted in the architectural traditions and landscapes of southern Mexico, Studio MNV explores the relationship between place, materiality, climate, and contemporary ways of living. The practice is interested in how architecture can reinterpret local knowledge and traditions without replicating them, creating spaces that feel both contemporary and grounded in their cultural and environmental context.

Miriam brings experience in residential architecture across a range of scales and typologies, as well as an international academic and professional background. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the University of Calgary, where her graduate research explored the transformation of existing urban buildings and opportunities for commercial-to-residential adaptation. Her work and research have been recognized by the American Institute of Architects and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, and her graduate research was featured at the 2025 Venice Biennale of Architecture.

Through Studio MNV, Miriam brings together this international perspective with a deep connection to Yucatán, developing architecture that responds thoughtfully to its surroundings, its climate, and the ways people inhabit space.
